Pre-match preview

Real Sociedad

Jon Aramburu is Real Sociedad's biggest absentee against Bournemouth, suspended for the Europa League opener after starting all five matches in this run; he is due back for the next fixture in October.

At centre-back, Igor Zubeldia remains sidelined by injury after also missing the match against Atlético Madrid, having started three of the previous five matches. Mamadou Sarr, who did start that game, is expected to continue in defence too.

In goal, Unai Marrero is set to start ahead of the regular choice, Álex Remiro, who has played four of the last five matches; Marrero has featured only once during that spell.

Bournemouth

One central midfield place remains unsettled for Bournemouth's trip to Real Sociedad, with Lewis Cook and Tyler Adams having split the last four matches there evenly and shown little to separate them. Cook is expected to start this time, with Adams the alternative.

Marcus Tavernier has been the standout performer for the Cherries in that recent stretch, with three goals in his last four appearances. Further forward, Justin Kluivert has started all four matches but has been withdrawn each time, never lasting beyond the 81st minute.
