Norwich City

Harry Darling made his first start against Charlton while José Córdoba did not play, and Philippe Clement looks set to retain Darling at left centre-back. Daniel Grimshaw is also expected to continue in goal after sharing the position with Vladan Kovacevic over the last five matches.

Kenny McLean is back in training after an ankle injury and played against Charlton, though he was not yet ready for a full 90 minutes. Pelle Mattsson was withdrawn at half-time with hamstring cramp, but the problem was not considered serious. Mirko Topić remains doubtful after almost a year out with a cruciate injury, although he played 45 minutes for the under-21s last week as he rebuilt his fitness.

Watford

Alessio Dionisi will be without several players for the trip to Norwich. Edoardo Bove, Jeremy Ngakia and Kwadwo Baah all miss out through injury, while Michail Antonio is also unavailable. Dionisi does not expect any injured players to return before the November international break.

Further forward, Dionisi still has calls to make. Mamadou Doumbia and Luca Kjerrumgaard are competing for one attacking spot, Othmane Maamma and Myron Boadu for another, and Rocco Vata is up against Hector Kyprianou in midfield. Boadu has started three of the last five games but been substituted in the second half each time.
