Pre-match preview

AC Milan

The biggest team news at Milan is the return of Christian Pulisic to the starting eleven. He has featured only as a substitute since coming back from injury, coming off the bench against Lazio, and is now expected to start against Benfica.

Yunus Musah and Diego Moreira are both set to return to the side after being used from the bench in that game, while Luka Modrić is in line to keep his midfield place, having been substituted in each of his three recent starts.

Up front, Alphadjo Cissè and Adrien Rabiot are competing for the same spot. Cissè has scored twice in his last three starts, while Rabiot has a goal and two assists in his own two starts.

Benfica

The clearest change in Benfica's midfield is at the base. João Palhinha, who came off the bench against Gil Vicente, is set to return to the starting eleven in place of Enzo Barrenechea, who had started that game.

At right-back, Daniel Banjaqui is set to continue in the side with Alexander Bah still sidelined through injury; the pair have shared the position fairly evenly over the last five matches.

Further forward, Gianluca Prestianni has started all five matches in this run, scoring three goals and adding an assist along the way.
