Bayer Leverkusen
Bayer Leverkusen will again be without Moussa Diaby, whose hamstring injury also kept him out against Stuttgart. Loïc Badé and Nathan Tella are both doubtful too, with a head injury and a muscle problem respectively limiting them to two starts apiece over the past five matches.
Janis Blaswich is expected to replace Mark Flekken in goal. Aleix García and Equi Fernández should continue as the holding midfield pair, while Patrik Schick is expected to lead the line after scoring four goals in his four starts over the past five matches.
Marseille
Emerson's knee symptoms have improved and a serious injury appears to have been ruled out. His availability for Thursday's trip to Bayer Leverkusen remains uncertain, though, and Ulisses Garcia, who shared the left-back role with him recently, looks set to start there.
Timothy Weah is expected to start at right-back ahead of Kelyann Bezahaf, while Amine Harit has started three of Marseille's last five matches but been withdrawn late in each of them. Igor Paixão has two goals and one assist in his last five appearances and is expected to keep his place in attack. Faris Moumbagna has also returned to first-team training this week.
