Jack Grealish is doubtful for Everton's match against Coventry City. He was left out of the squad for the trip to Newcastle United because he was not match fit.

Thierno Barry is set to continue leading the line after scoring three goals in his last five appearances, while Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has also contributed a goal and an assist from an advanced role in the same period. Merlin Röhl, used at right-back as well as in a wide position recently, is expected to be part of the back four again for the Toffees, who are seventh with 13 points.

Coventry City

Victor Torp, Yann Gboho and Taiwo Awoniyi all made their first starts of the last five matches in Coventry City's 3-1 win over Sunderland, and all three are expected to keep their places at Everton.

Bobby Thomas is doubtful because of a calf injury. Ethan Pinnock and Stephen Mfuni are therefore expected to continue as the central pairing after starting together against Sunderland.

Jack Rudoni, who has scored three goals in his past five outings, is expected to continue behind Awoniyi, with Caleb Yirenkyi alongside Torp in midfield and Tatsuhiro Sakamoto on the right.
