A recurring problem at left centre-back continues to hang over Rennes ahead of Friday's game. Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal is a doubt, yet he remains the alternative to Anthony Rouault in that role, and he has won more of his duels there than Rouault has managed, 76 per cent to 67. The pair have alternated over Rennes' last two matches with nothing settled either way.

It's a similar picture at left-back, where Quentin Merlin and Mahamadou Nagida have shared the role with little to separate them.
