Three injuries during Tuesday's 4-2 Champions League victory over Barcelona have forced Luis Enrique to make several changes for Monday's home fixture against Olympique Lyonnais. Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Marquinhos were all forced off during the match. Kvaratskhelia suffered a serious knee injury involving a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Ferran Torres is therefore expected to return as the central striker, supported by Désiré Doué and Maghnes Akliouche. Doué scored the opening goal against Barcelona and later provided an assist.
Defensive changes are also necessary. Ilya Zabarnyi is expected to replace the injured Marquinhos, while Lucas Digne should start at left-back in the absence of Nuno Mendes. Lucas Hernández and Willian Pacho are competing for the other central defensive position, with Pacho having taken several knocks against Barcelona. Hernández scored in that match and could retain his starting place. In midfield, Warren Zaïre-Emery is an alternative to Vitinha, who has accumulated considerable playing time in recent weeks.
