Nice
Sofiane Diop's late winner at Brest has given Olivier Pantaloni a welcome selection dilemma. Nice recovered from an early deficit to claim a 2-1 victory through goals from Elye Wahi and Diop, with Yehvann Diouf subsequently saving a stoppage-time penalty. It was their third league win in four matches, continuing a recovery after a difficult opening to the season. Pantaloni believes that recent contributions from substitutes have increased competition for places and has warned against treating any starting position as guaranteed.
The defence will require at least one adjustment because Alidu Seidu cannot face his parent club Rennes under the terms of his loan agreement. Xavier Mandza is the leading candidate to replace him alongside Youssouf Ndayishimiye and Mohamed Abdelmonem. Jonathan Clauss is expected to be available despite the physical problem that forced him off against Brest, although Hamza Koutoune provides another option. Axel Witsel and Hicham Boudaoui are likely midfield choices, while Diop's match-winning contribution has increased the pressure on Gauthier Hein and Mohammed Amoura for the attacking positions behind Wahi.
