Genoa

Genoa's main uncertainty continues to centre on the left side of defence. Johan Vásquez did not play at Parma, and he and Sebastian Otoa are now competing for the left-back spot after Otoa made his first start there last time out.

Morten Frendrup and Tommaso Baldanzi have started all five league matches and look set to continue in central midfield and on the left flank respectively. Further forward, Vítinha is expected to partner Milutin Osmajic in attack, while Kingsley Ehizibue and Mikael Ellertsson are set to provide the width in a 3-5-2.

Fiorentina

Franco Mastantuono has played down any fatigue concerns after returning from international duty with Argentina and says he is ready for the trip to Genoa. It is a timely message: he has started all of Fiorentina's last five matches and scored three times from the right of the front three.

Alieu Njie is expected to continue on the other side of that front three, while Mateo Pellegrino should keep his place up front after scoring twice in his last four starts. Beto has returned from international duty and taken part in training, while Riccardo Sottil remains doubtful because of a back injury.
