Brentford

Brentford have two fitness concerns ahead of Liverpool's visit, with Kevin Schade doubtful because of a shoulder injury and Jannik Schuster doubtful with an ankle problem. The early signs point to Schade missing out on a game he would normally start, having begun all five of the latest matches.

Schuster could still start alongside Kristoffer Ajer in central defence, with Sepp van den Berg the alternative. Mikkel Damsgaard and Nathan Collins are also doubtful, while Dango Ouattara and Mathias Jensen are the two candidates for a place behind Igor Thiago.

Liverpool

Ryan Gravenberch is suspended for the trip to Brentford, and Wataru Endo is expected to come in, with Dominik Szoboszlai the alternative if he recovers from his hamstring injury. Alexander Isak is doubtful with a thigh problem and is expected to miss out once more up front.

Jeremie Frimpong made his first start in the latest five matches against LASK, but Ronald Araújo is expected to return at right-back this weekend. Bradley Barcola, with three goals in his last five appearances, should continue on the left, while Virgil van Dijk is expected to return to the back four after coming off the bench against LASK.
