Espanyol
Ángel Fortuño is expected to remain in goal for Espanyol. He made his first start of the last five matches against Malaga and looks set to keep the gloves against Atletico Madrid, with Marko Dmitrović again expected to miss out.
Further forward, Roberto Fernández is set to lead the line again, having scored three goals across five starts, while Javi Hernández has supplied two assists during the same period.
Espanyol have won once in their last five league games and sit 12th with eight points from as many matches before Saturday's visit of Atletico Madrid.
Atletico Madrid
Koke's availability remains uncertain for Atlético Madrid after he missed the win over Manchester United following the death of his mother. His return depends on his personal situation. João Cardoso and Álex Baena have each started four of the last five matches and remain options in midfield.
Marcos Llorente is expected to continue at right-back ahead of Marc Pubill, while Cristian Romero should retain his place in central defence. Álex Grimaldo is likely to continue on the left after scoring three goals and providing one assist in the last five matches. Jonathan David and Ademola Lookman are expected to return to the starting side after appearing as substitutes against Manchester United.
