Pre-match preview

Netherlands U21

The Netherlands Under-21s remain in contention for second place in their European Championship qualifying group following a 4-2 victory away to Slovenia. Michael Reiziger's side need another win in Doetinchem and will also depend on the result of Israel's away match against group leaders Norway.

Reiziger has little reason to make major changes to the winning side. Bernt Klaverboer should continue in goal, with Givairo Read, Thijmen Blokzijl, Dies Janse and Elijah Dijkstra expected in defence. Sean Steur, Dave Kwakman and Kees Smit formed the midfield in Slovenia. The main attacking decision is between Ayoub Oufkir and Ernest Poku: Oufkir scored in Maribor, but Poku replaced him at half-time and also found the net.

Bosnia and Herzegovina U21

Bosnia and Herzegovina Under-21 conclude their European Championship qualifying campaign in Doetinchem and will be looking for a response after a heavy 6-1 defeat away to Norway. Branislav Krunić's side actually took an early lead in Stavanger through Matej Deket before losing control of the match.

Krunić has stressed that his players need to remain disciplined, responsible and concentrated for the full 90 minutes against the Netherlands. Amil Šiljević is expected to continue in goal, while Nidal Čelik, Eman Košpo and Senad Mustafić are among the main defensive options. Aldin Mešić and goalscorer Deket are the leading candidates to start in attack.
