Villarreal

Tajon Buchanan is out with a muscle injury after starting four of Villarreal’s last five matches, so Alberto Moleiro is expected to replace him. The defeat at Real Madrid also gave Juan Foyth his first start in those five games.

Villarreal have rotated at left-back, where Sergi Cardona is expected to start, although Carlos Romero remains an alternative. On the right, Santiago Mouriño is preferred to Alexander Freeman this time after the pair shared the position in recent matches. Nathan Saliba, who came on for the final 34 minutes against Real Madrid, is expected to return to the middle of midfield.

Napoli

Benoît Badiashile and David Neres each made their first starts in Napoli’s last five matches against Frosinone, but neither is expected to keep his place against Villarreal. Leonardo Spinazzola is set to continue at left-back, while Kevin De Bruyne should retain his place further forward.

Noa Lang, who has a goal from his two starts on the left of the attack, is expected to begin there again. Alessandro Buongiorno remains out with a knee injury, while Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani and Marín all started against Frosinone and are set to continue in front of Alex Meret.
