Inter Milan

After an opening Champions League defeat away to Real Madrid, Inter return to continental action at home to Club Brugge with several players expected to return to the eleven. Alessandro Bastoni, Piotr Zieliński and Nicolò Barella were all left out of the side that faced Parma on Saturday but are likely to start under Chivu.

Curtis Jones, who has started two of Inter's last five matches, remains out with a thigh injury, and compatriot John Stones is also sidelined. Yann Aurel Bisseck, Benjamin Pavard and Manuel Akanji have rotated along the right side of the back line in recent games, with Bastoni and Pavard expected to join Bisseck in a three-man defence against Club Brugge.

Club Brugge

Club Brugge are expected to make one change at the back for the trip to Inter, with Han-beom Lee returning after sitting out Saturday's match against La Louvière. Jorne Spileers, who made his first start in Lee's absence, is expected to make way, while Kyriani Sabbe should continue at right-back after featuring in four of the last five matches.

Further forward, Hugo Vetlesen and Jan Virgili have started five and four of Club Brugge's last five matches respectively but have been withdrawn before the final whistle every time. Vetlesen has scored four goals during that run from his position behind Nicolò Tresoldi.
