Villarreal

Villarreal will be without Santi Comesaña for several weeks. The midfielder will miss the visit of Levante, ending a run in which he had started four of the club's last five league games.

Elsewhere, Péter Gulácsi is set to continue in goal ahead of Luiz Júnior, with both having split time between the posts recently. Nicolas Pépé could start on the right, but Ilias Akhomach is also in contention after setting up a goal on his first start, against Malaga. On the left, Carlos Romero and Sergi Cardona are competing for the place. Romero was left out of the team at Malaga and played the final 27 minutes as a substitute.

Juan Foyth remains a doubt because of an Achilles issue, though he could be included if the risk is considered low enough.

Levante

Hugo Sotelo, who made his first start against Barcelona last week, has since been ruled out for several weeks with a right-knee sprain. Karl Etta Eyong remains sidelined with a thigh problem and is not expected back until early October.

Further back, Jeremy Toljan's own recent breakthrough looks set to be short-lived: Nacho Pérez is expected to start at right-back this weekend, with barely anything to separate the two in how they have played. Centre-back stays a toss-up as well, with Adrián De La Fuente expected to play alongside Aïssa Mandi and Dela the alternative.
