Go Ahead Eagles

Joseph Oosting is expected to make few changes to his starting lineup despite last Sunday's 4-1 defeat against PEC Zwolle. Go Ahead Eagles took the lead in the IJsselderby through Stefán Sigurdarson but collapsed during the second half, conceding four unanswered goals. Oosting was highly critical of his team's attitude and struggled to explain their disappointing performance. Friday's home fixture against Telstar gives his side an opportunity to respond.

The central defensive position remains a decision between Giovanni van Zwam and Gerrit Nauber. Van Zwam started against PEC Zwolle, while Nauber returned to the matchday squad following a lengthy injury absence. Oosting also has a choice to make in attack. Mathis Suray started last weekend, but Oskar Sivertsen came on during the second half and remains an alternative. Goalkeeper Nick Marsman is still sidelined with knee problems and will be unavailable until at least the winter break. Kjetil Haug is therefore expected to continue in goal.

Telstar

Major changes are not expected to Telstar's starting lineup following last weekend's 4-3 defeat against Feyenoord. Henk Brugge's side conceded inside the opening minute and were already two goals behind after twenty minutes. However, Telstar fought back on several occasions, with Tyrone Owusu, Patrick Brouwer and Noach Shenkman all finding the net. Brugge was pleased with aspects of his team's attacking performance but disappointed that their efforts did not produce any points.

Telstar are expected to retain most of the players who started against Feyenoord for Friday's visit to Go Ahead Eagles. The main uncertainty concerns the central striker position. Nökkvi Þórisson started last Saturday but was replaced by Jelani Seedorf after 65 minutes. Both remain options for the upcoming match. Few changes are anticipated in defence, while Brugge is also likely to stick with the midfielders who featured from the start against Feyenoord.
