FC Twente
Two attacking players have returned ahead of FC Twente's European opener following the 1-1 draw at Fortuna Sittard. Filip Thorvaldsen and Sondre Ørjasæter are back in contention, as Van den Brom confirmed on Wednesday. Daan Rots and Marko Pjaca are nevertheless the expected starters in the wide positions. There is also a genuine choice between Daouda Weidmann and Thomas van den Belt in midfield. Weidmann started at Fortuna, while Van den Belt appeared as a substitute.
Joël Drommel is expected to continue in goal because Lars Unnerstall remains unfit. Max Bruns is also unavailable, and Stav Lemkin has resumed group training but will not be in Thursday's squad. Robin Pröpper scored Twente's equaliser in Sittard, although Van den Brom was dissatisfied with the performance. The Conference League home match against Thun offers an opportunity to respond, with the recovered wingers providing additional options even if neither immediately returns to the starting side.
