Union Berlin
Union Berlin could be without Josip Juranović, who is doubtful with an Achilles injury, and Janik Haberer is expected to play at right-back again after starting there against Elversberg. Andrik Markgraf remains out with a knee injury.
Further forward, Kastriot Imeri and Tim Skarke both made their first starts of this run against Elversberg and are expected to continue. Imeri played 58 minutes in that match, with the choice between him and Livan Burcu still open. Skarke, who has scored twice across his outings in the last five matches, is also competing with Emmanuel Latte Lath for a starting place.
Borussia Dortmund
Serhou Guirassy, Felix Nmecha and Ethan Nwaneri are all set to return to Dortmund's starting eleven after being used from the bench in midweek against Bodø/Glimt, restoring last weekend's front line and midfield regulars.
A rib injury leaves Julian Ryerson a doubt, and he is left out, with Marcel Sabitzer continuing on the right instead. Nico Schlotterbeck returns at the back after sitting out the Bodø/Glimt trip entirely, completing a three alongside Waldemar Anton and Joane Gadou.
Further forward, two places remain open: Maximilian Beier is competing with Joey Veerman, and Jobe Bellingham with Konstantinos Karetsas, for the roles just behind Guirassy, with Daniel Svensson keeping his place on the left.
