Calvin Stengs looks set to be preferred to Weslley Patati on the right for AZ this weekend. Stengs has started only once in five matches but has contributed two assists in that time. Ayoub Oufkir also joined that battle last week with his first start of the season, at Sunderland.
Through the middle, Dave Kwakman returns to contention after being restricted to a place among the substitutes at Sunderland, having started four of AZ's previous five matches. He continues to share the holding role with Jordy Clasie, who has been withdrawn in each of his three recent starts.
Telstar
Ronald Koeman Jr., who has started Telstar's last five matches in goal, is a doubt for Sunday's trip to AZ because of personal reasons. He attended almost all Telstar training sessions this week and his availability was being assessed day by day; for now, he remains the expected starter between the posts.
Further forward, Rui Mendes has started the last five matches but is yet to finish one, having been withdrawn in each outing, including last time out at Heerenveen; he is expected to keep his place against AZ, with Harrie Kuster the alternative. Jeff Hardeveld has also started each of Telstar's last five matches and is expected to continue against AZ.
